Chickens Christmas Day (by special guest writer AA)
My niece wrote a touching Christmas story. She then made the mistake of sending it to me & I added a bit of flair. Fortunately she liked the new theme and ran with it. Enjoy.
It was a cold Christmas morn. The sunrise was fast approaching. All the chickens were asleep in their nests except one. It was a little hen excited for Christmas Day and opening the presents to see what’s inside from Santa. At 5:50 AM she knew that she couldn’t wait any longer and woke up to hire a rooster to CACA DO DA DOO! All the other chickens woke up from an obnoxious sound. So tired ,and so sleepy they still opened those presents from each other and St.Nick. After that they all too a nap except that little excited chicken who everyone was mad at because she woke them up before 6.
The next day, the little excited hen was still too excited to sleep, so they woke everyone up at 4:30 in the morning. “Wake up! Wake up!”, cried the little hen.
“Oh lord no”, said every other hen at the exact same time. “Let’s hit their snooze button.”
One of the older hens distracted the little hen by asking them to close their eyes and count to 50 as loud as she could. The little hen squeezed her eyes shut and started counting and shouting each number as she went.
The remaining hens found a chainsaw in the barn and set it up right behind the little shouting hen. They pulled the cord and the chainsaw roared to life.
The little hen couldn’t hear a thing since she was still shouting her numbers. “THIRTY-FOUR! THIRTY-FIVE!” she cried as loud as she could.
“ROAR”, the chainsaw sounded. The hens were pushing the chainsaw closer and closer to the excited little hen. The little hen didn’t realize what was happening behind her, until it was too late… The moment she said “FIFTY!!” she turned around and saw the chainsaw crashing down on her.
At lunchtime the chickens had a nice big feast. You can’t beat a bucket of CFC (Christmas Fried Chicken).
